Here in our rehabilitation gym in Leeds, resident Osteopath, Chris Kitson, works with active people. Chris understands what your body needs to be able to deal with in order to keep you pain free and performing whatever activities you need to.
There’s more to rehabilitation than stretches and thera-band exercises and we provide an up to date evidence-based approach to get you back to where you need to be whether you are suffering from such things as back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain or neck pain.
Many of our Personal Training client’s structure soft tissue work in to their monthly programming which helps them keep moving freely, whilst keeping day to day muscular tension down to a minimum.

Your initial consultation will consist of a full lifestyle and medical case history of your presenting complaint, including enquiring about any previous issues you may have had.
OSTEOPATHY A SYSTEM OF DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT
Like Physiotherapists and Chiropractors, an Osteopath will focus on helping you resolve any injuries and/or general aches and pains. Each discipline and/or therapist may approach your recovery slightly differently, but we are all qualified to the same level to help aid your recovery. Your choice is down to preference of approach and therapist.

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. We help you to get back to being you as quickly as possible. We pride ourselves on getting you better so you can continue to live your life to the fullest. We would expect most of our patients to be discharged after 3-6 sessions.
We use hands on techniques such as physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood supply to tissues, help enhance feedback from the nervous system, as well as help your body’s own healing mechanisms.

As exercise professionals, we also provide advice and exercises to aid your recovery, promote health, help with your sports rehabilitation after a sports injury, and help prevent issues from recurring. We give you ownership of your recovery, progress and help provide you with preventative measures going forward.

SPORTS MASSAGE TO AID RECOVERY
Sports massage treatments are primarily focused around deep tissue massage. This form of treatment can aid the recovery of injuries but is not, however, used to diagnose conditions. Sports massage covers a variety of techniques which will manipulate the soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia etc.)
Your initial session will consist of a full case history, including medical history, an active and passive range of movement assessments, hands on treatment, and exercises to support treatment where necessary.
